Introducing my lil passion project: Friends Call Me Thrifty :-)

If you know me, you know that I love thrifting — both for the sustainable fashion aspect and the uniqueness of each piece. 

During my senior year of college, I took an entrepreneurial journalism class where I developed a business idea (see campaign tab) centered around sustainable fashion. Then over Christmas break, my sweet roomie and I started talking about the importance of hobbies so naturally, we spent a little too much money at Michaels, learned how to embroider from YouTube tutorials and I was hooked. If there’s one thing I love more than a unique piece of clothing, it’s the ability to personalize it even more!

That’s where the idea for Friends Call Me Thrifty was born! All pieces are thrifted and up-cycled.

After spending my summer after graduation at Kaleo (a 9-week spiritual development program), I began to think of more ways I could glorify God with my life. I thought about how the words spoken over us have the power to call us higher and how I could put words on clothing that do the same:-)
